Do You Love Your Career?

Loving Your Career

If you don’t love your career then you may be wasting your time. Sure it pays the bills and affords a good lifestyle… But is it worth it?

Love Your Career

This is something that I cannot answer. When most people think of finding work, they go for the money first, satisfaction second. Before you know it you’re locked into a career that you hate, and seems impossible to change. Most people are in this situation, and have no clue what to do.

Change Is Scary

Change is scary at the best of times and when it comes to finding a new career, it can be just as daunting. You probably have a mortgage, car loans and a family to support. What gives you the right to change careers when you have so many commitments? Even if you did want a change, how would you go about it? These are the questions that consume so many clients of mine, but they are focused on finding the answers.

Life Is Short

I don’t need to tell you that life is short, time goes by and months turn into years. Before you know it, it’s all over and you may never get a chance to try something new. What is it that you want? Is it to pursue a life-long passion, start a business, or to have the luxury of taking more time off? Think about this carefully before it’s too late!

Career Options

These days there are so many options when it comes to finding a new line of work. The internet has made the world a much smaller place with plenty of options. I know people who work a few days a week earning double what they did fulltime.

I’ve recently had several clients that have given up the corporate world to begin something new. These people did not want to waste another moment of their lives feeling miserable! They would rather feel motivated about work; have careers that they love, and spend more time with the family. This was their choice and they successfully followed through.

Planning For A Career Change

First, make the decision to change your career, and then follow through with a workable plan. Do the research, decide upon a strategy and push that trigger. If you feel that the time is right and a career change is on the cards, then go ahead and make it happen.
